Lovely lunch here! Chicken noodle soup was lovely and the burger (no picture) was very juicy. Staff very attentive too and luckily we got to sit at the bar which was great
This was our first stop to eat once we landed in NYC. I must start by saying Xavier was our waiter and he was PHENOMENAL, very attentive, our drinks were always full and made sure we had everything we needed. If more waiters and waitresses were like him the world would be a better place. I asked what he recommended and he knew everything on the menu. I went with the 15 bite hotdog. Hotdog is my first go to everytime I come to NYC. The food came out fast, hot and perfectly cooked. The restaurant was super busy but, all the staff was rocking and rolling, getting things done and making sure everyone was taken care of. I highly recommend eating here if your ever in Manhattan. This is a must go to spot. Thank you Xavier for being an amazing person.
A great diner near Central Park! Close enough to Broadway, but far enough to have a little less people to deal with! I ordered the 15 bite hotdog which was AMAZING! Definitely a fork and knife dog, but well worth it! My wife had the waffle grilled cheese, and I might have to say it’s the best I’ve had! They served it with syrup, which is how I’ve eaten grilled cheese since I was a child!! A must try if you haven’t!
We went to the Brooklyn Diner on 57th Street for breakfast, and honestly, the experience started the moment we walked in. There was a superman of hospitality standing right at the door greeting everyone with the warmest welcome. A few minutes later we learned he’s actually the manager—no wonder the place feels like such a gem. We ordered the French toast and the pancakes, and both were absolutely awesome. Perfectly done, super flavorful, and honestly some of the best diner breakfast plates we’ve had in the city. The menu has so many other things that caught our eye, so we’re already planning to go back and try everything else. Highly recommended!
The atmosphere is great, at least for a first timers it tells u a lot about American classical dinners. The pastrami sandwich is good, also my wife had the chicken soup which told it was excellent. Service level excellent. Pricing food, but overall a great experience
Consistently good food with a truly authentic American diner atmosphere. The portions are large and the variety on offer caters to all needs and palates. We have been coming here over many years, and this is a true favourite of ours when visiting NYC.
We were so caught up enjoying New York that we forgot to put in a reso for our Thanksgiving dinner. We went in, they accomodated us, warm welcome, friendly smiles. We found Brooklyn Diner to be quite the special place. Our waiter, Josh and the rest of the staff made sure our orders came in time. Must try - the Pastrami on Rye, Old Fashioned, the Strawberry Cheesecake. We had a great and memorable time!
On November 29th, my family, and I went to Brooklyn Diner. We went to celebrate my younger sister’s 20th birthday. Our waiter was Josh (Joshua). He was very attentive and nice to us. I got a Backyard BBQ Burger with fries, coleslaw, and apple pie. Sprite and water were on the side. I loved my food and so did my family. The bathrooms were both clean. My only complaint was on the space. It gets a bit tight there, especially around 6 PM - 8 PM. Also, if you’re near the kitchen. Expect to get hit by waiters passing by. Either way, we plan to go back to eat there. P.S. - Thank you for singing happy birthday to my little sister. We truly appreciated it.
